Riccardo's Ristorante is a family run business in the North End of Boston, across from Paul Revere's House. It has been recognized by local and national known food critiques as one of the best authentic Italian Restaurants in Boston. Now being run by Richie Jr., Riccardo's has the same fine standards and quality of food as always. The staff is highly trained and knowledgeable about every item on the menu. We tried their “special “ meatball… stuffed with mozzarella appetizer; it would have been much more pleasing with a scoop of ricotta; despite being “stuffed” the innards appeared to be simply meat. Yes, they were tasty! Who doesn’t love a meatball! The bread is not delivered hot. Overall, the food could have been hotter; and the chicken picatta meal could have been less dry with a bit of added lemon sauce and perhaps an added lemon wedge but definitely hotter and more tasty. I did ask our waiter to spruce it up a bit and he was kind enough to take my plate back & do just that, thank you! The pasta fagouli soup presentation was disappointing for $14!! Not what I recall from prior experiences… twas a large bowl with plenty of pasta & well cooked beans. While, It too was tasty too I was told they switched bowls to “have more table space but again skimpy on the pasta & the beans were a tad undercooked. hmmm… The ambience is lively. Many to choose from in the North End.

Have year before. At this time, I have to say it was my best meal. I had all monthly. Everything about the night was perfect.

We arrived 15 mins. before our reservation and they immediately sat us. The service was warm, inviting, and friendly. The food was out of this world delicious! I cannot wait to return because the entire experience was amazing!

We had a fantastic meal,Brahim the Maitre d was the absolute best in the city. He gave great advice on the food, the wine, the sights…great great food, fantastic service. 10 stars.
