For three decades the name Riccio has been synonymous with fine dining in the desert. Richard and Patricia Riccio set the bar for outstanding Italian cuisine 40 years ago when they opened the original Riccio’s in uptown Palm Springs. Two of their sons, eager to carry on the family tradition, last spring unveiled Riccio’s Steak and Seafood with a new menu concept in a higher profile location downtown. Service and personal attention have been the Riccio’s hallmark and they pledge to continue this tradition.

For the casual diner, Riccio’s offers a relaxed patio presentation for watching downtown Palm Springs unfold while sampling their intriguing, seasonally changing menu. Riccio’s bar faces lively Palm Canyon Drive, and picture windows frame a sculptural fountain.

Everything was wonderful except for one order. Pork Chop came out very rare. By the time the pork chop was properly prepared, everyone else had eaten their dinner. On some of the other orders, vegetables were under cooked. Kitchen totally dropped the ball for our party.

We ate here last year and us was excellent so decided to come back during this trip to Palm Sorings. We had Caesar Salad and Wedge Salad, both were excellent. We also had Veal parmigiana and chicken parmigiana and both of these were also great. Large portions. Service was superb as it was last year.

I was very disappointed in y chicken piccata. There was way too much garlic, capers & olive oil. I ate most of one piece, but couldn’t get completely through the first piece. The sauce in my hubby’s chicken Parmesan was just ok. The New York cheesecake was good!

Very disappointed experience. Lovely weather seated outdoors, friendly staff. Food was really missing the mark. Filet was tasteless, watery fettuccine Alfredo, bread tough. Sadly could not recommend this restaurant.

Great service and nice location + patio seating. Food was good but not amazing. Ordered a whiskey sour (not on drink menu) and was just basic. Steamed mussels were ok, the broth needs more herbs. Halibut was fresh but veggies were cold. Lobster ravioli didn’t have much flavor but rose sauce was good. Overall food could have been warmer. They did offer both my partner and I an unexpected complementary birthday dessert for being open table guests and dining on our birthdays. We just happen to have the same one. Tiramisu was the highlight of our meal.
