Walking in, they gave my wife a rose and the gentleman who lead us in was great.
Did the Valentines prix fixe menu. Food was delicious. Filet entree was the least impressive, but the scallops, and the pasta course were great. The pasta i would say amazing. You arent finding pasts done by hand at that level in many places.
Service wasnt as hot...(this was a Sunday and it was seemingly slow) We were sat and nobody came for close to 10 minutes to ask about water or drinks. Then when they came, they asked what kind of water and we waited for cocktail menus. We were already 30 minutes in when we got our drinks. We werent taking long on our end but the whole meal took us over 2.5 hours.
Server was an older gentleman, very nice but short and not engaged. We noticed another server at tables near us who seemed much more personable and attentive, joking with guests. So these people im sure would leave a much higher rating on service.
Then you have a dress code but the table near us, a guy walked in with a sweat suit on like he just came out of the gym, hair all over, and sat in the center with all this attention on him and his guest. He never ate, but you had 2-3 people everytime someone went to the table, and he just had a bottle of wine and sat on his phone... the woman he was with i think at least ate something...
It just kind of felt like for a dinner where I walked out paying 400+ we were didnt get 400+ service. The candle even melted quick because of the location of the vent over our table, and it fell into my bottled water. It didnt seem to phase the server when i told him it happend. He just said he should of warned us abour it earlier.
We went to the Piano bar after. The bartwnder was great. She was very personable and made great drinks. There was a bar manager there as well and he was great.
We went to the piano bar after, whichbwas what youd expect on pricing, but the bartenders were very personable and great
