   Our first time there, and we were impressed. Bellingham isn't a mecca of good food and dining out, so Roe is a real standout. Not the place for a casual meal, you can easily drop $100 a head including food, wine and tip, but it is really top notch for that special occasion.

   First visit and I left highly impressed. Food was creative and delicious. Service warm and helpful but unobtrusive. Lively space and easy to converse. will definitely be back.

   The starters and entrées except for one were very good. I ordered the halibut and specifically requested that it be cooked to medium and not well done. It arrived well done, and the only thing that saved it was the accompanying sauce. our server was not attentive. It took nearly 30 minutes after being seated to get our glasses of wine. What’s the entrées were served, our server never checked back until we were finished to see how things were.

   Best meal we’ve had in Bellingham! We decided to share small plates to maximize the number of dishes we could try. It was a good strategy for a first visit. Started with albacore crudo. As beautiful as it was delicious. Lovely balance of colors, flavors and textures, as were all of the dishes we had. Also ordered the Dungeness crab on hash browns, roasted parsnips (perfection), beet salad, maitake gnocchi and jasmine panna cotta. Would order every single dish again, but also want to try every other thing on the menu. Also highly recommend counter seating to witness the talent and choreography in the kitchen. We will be back!

   Make a reservation. Get the crudo. Get the oysters. Get the steak. Get a drink. Heck get one of everything and invite all your friends to sample some of the best food I have had in Bellingham. I’d say the tables are a bit too close together (but it was full) and the lighting was a little bright for a nighttime romantic dinner. But I had a great time regardless of these very minor things

   Amazing food, cocktails and service. The atmosphere is lively and the whole staff seems happy and friendly. The food was excellent. Highly recommend if you’re on the fence. You won’t be disappointed

   Our server seemed genuinely disinterested in serving us, we envied the guest with a different server (may have been kitchen staff) who seemed much more attentive. Table visits were sparse and getting the bill was quite the wait for a weekday with only four other guests present. Ultimately, the food was not exceptional in accordance with their price. Very average offerings in small portions that were fine and edible. We enjoy going out and are happy to pay upscale prices on occasion for a sumptuous, head-bobbing dining experience, we just didn't get that here. The 'butter lettuce' appetizer set the tone, which consists of five quarter-inch slices of apple, three hand sized leaves of lettuce, and ~5 milliliters of bland vinaigrette, which costs $14. The burger was decent if not Boomers-like, and the pasta was okay but monotone, my partner did not care for it enough to finish. I don't mean to say anything harsh about this restaurant, it just was not a fit for us from a flavor, experience, or value perspective. There may be way better rotations of this menu and presentations of service, these just were not present this night. Thank you.

   The food & service were excellent but the noise level made it all but impossible to hold a conversation unless you spoke quite loudly. And, as tables are positioned close together, that meant your neighbors were privy to every word!

    Amazing as always! The creativity with their dishes, the flavors, the drinks, the decor, the vibes, the staff - everything is on point 🤌🏼 Love how often they change up the menu too, there’s always something new for me to try. Best restaurant in Bellingham and such an amazing experience every time we’re in there!
