   What an amazing dinner! Food was exceptional. Crudo Branzino, Brutus salad, rib eye steak, and the pasta dish were the standouts

   We had high expectations for Romies considering how much we love its team's other restaurant, Arthurs, but unfortunately they were not met on this evening. On the positive side, the food was phenomenal (especially the burger, pasta, and blackout cake), and they have cultivated a really cool vibe through the design, open kitchen, bar, etc. That said, what really let us down was the service. From the hop, our server was rude, dismissive, and barely checked in. Then, he brought the wrong bottle of wine to our table, which we politely corrected, and then he proceeded to place that $100 bottle on my friend's bill (perhaps hoping she would not notice?). Also, we were there for my birthday and to kick off the night's celebrations (which was noted on the reservation), and there was absolutely no acknowledgement - not even placing a candle in the slice of cake I ordered. Don't get me wrong, we were not expecting to be catered to by any means, but being a bit more welcoming overall would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place for any special dinner, but the food is definitely worth trying.

   Good size portions, 2 seating times so felt a little rushed towards the end. Main issue was that the burger (40$ if you change salad for fries) was nothing better than a 20$ burger at Baton Rouge. Just not worth the bang for the buck

   Dinner was excellent, every dish was perfect. Portions were fair. Staff was friendly and helpful! Ambiance was nice and we weren't rushed. A lot of restaurants in Montreal have started implementing a rule of 2 hours per reservation and then you feel they are rushing you out. We enjoyed and lingered and felt very much at home. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

   Been here before but very bad experience this time around. Waited almost 2 hour for dinner. The waitress took our order for appetizers and dinner. But came back 1 hour later asking if we are finished our apps so she can put in our dinner order?!? Not sure why she assumed we were waiting to finish one remaining shrimp that sat on the table for over 30 mins before coming over to say anything. There was no apologies other than the manager coming over well into dinner to share they were understaffed. Fair to say we won’t be back.

   Really enjoyed the ambiance and vibe! Our waiter Justin was amazing! Attentive, easy to deal with and very efficient. We tried the hamburger it was very salty . We really enjoyed the pasta , the ribs were just ok. The branzino appetizer was amazing and great margaritas

    Everything we tried was amazing. Brutus salad, focaccia, side veg, roasted salmon and the pasta was outstanding. Cocktails were delicious, wait staff super nice and efficient 10/10 would recommend!!
