We chose to go to Roots because of the extra large cheese sticks, maybe more appropriately referred to as logs. Those were excellent and worth what we paid for. We got a pizza with canadian bacon and pineapple. We found the crust was too thin to hold the pizza together; the cheese made a mess and it was hard to cut. My partner didn't care for the pizza itself. I thought it was ok; the crust reminded me of frying bread as opposed to baking in an oven. I tried a home drafted root beer also and thought it just ok. Not worth the $6 for the bottle. It was city parking so metered, but we were able to sneak into a spot just a couple of stores away from the restaurant. It was early on a saturday (11:30) when we arrived, so it was almost empty. We had a reservation through OpenTable, but it wasn't necessary due to the lack of volume. The location itself is nice, with walls that are retractable to allow for an inside or outside experience. They had enough tv's so viewing was easy if you wanted to watch. Two of us spent $50+tax/tip, which for a pizza place and a small pizza felt a little high, but we are from the suburbs and recognize that things downtown may be a little higher than otherwise expected. I would only go again for a specific event, but that's more a function of there being so many options for pizza/Italian.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

Might be the worst service we’ve ever had. Waitress (Mikayla) was awful. She had zero interest in being there and would disappear for long periods of time. If you did see her and ask for anything she would get visibly upset. She over charged us and got mad when we asked her to fix it. Others working, and the place was basically empty, never helped out and walked right by. This included the manager. The food is good but not cheap. We took the kids to Roots for another great night out. Service was friendly as always and the food was top notch. We did get hit with a new 3% charge for using a credit card on top of the overall bill and they also tried to apply tip after fees and taxes instead of just on the base meal price. I appreciate that restaurants are facing higher costs but these two items were not disclosed up front and were a surprise when we received the bill. Roots remains a family favorite but its becoming a more expensive outing with 2 teenagers and the extra fees etc. We wouldn't mind if they ended up switching to counter ordering or using the app if it meant that we could afford to go more often!請問這對你有幫助嗎？

The service and food was great. My wife and I felt the price was fair for a family of four. We went because they were holding a Free Family NYE celebration. It was very festive and the staff was on point. I just felt the description of what was being offered varied from when we got there. The description mentioned that the count down would be posted on all TV monitors and people had to come by the bar to do a the countdown instead. The description mentioned complimentary champaign or miller high life for the adults. That wasn't offered but they offered sparkling cider to the kids. However, my family still had a nice time and the kids had fun and we were able to put them in bed by 9 pm.請問這對你有幫助嗎？

This is a wonderful neighborhood place with friendly service and delicious pizza. Highly recommend! Our waitress was so nice and told us about the mozzarella sticks that are "the size of twinkies" that we ended up trying and were worth it. The pizzas you can do half and half on anything and they made no trouble about it.
