Welcome to Roy's Ka'anapali! Since opening "the original" Roy's Hawaii Kai in 1988, I have set out to explore "new directions," blending classic European cooking techniques with unique influences of Asia and the Pacific. Guided by the freshest ingredients and my own sense of freedom, the menu is constantly evolving.

    The grilled au and shrimp duo was excellent! We were disappointed the chocolate soufflé isn’t on the menu, but the chocolate ganache cake was a good substitute. Our server was perfect!

    Lovely restaurant. Gracious helpful service, and some of the best short ribs and scalloped potatoes I’ve had. Best of the best. Go there and treat yourself.

    Something has changed at Roy's Kaanapali! We were there 5 or 6 years ago and it was a popular and hopping restaurant, nice ambiance, delicious food and a lively vibe. Last night there were very few customers (it was a Thursday), the atmosphere was more like a Howard Johnson's or Perkins and the ambiance was not appealing--too much overhead lighting and giant televisions. Tables were not covered and made of fake melamine--nothing a tablecloth couldn't have improved! The food was good, though nothing to go crazy about. Our server was very good and nice but the overall experience was not the unique and delicious experience we had a few years ago.

    We have eaten at many Roy’s over the years and know that we will always have an outstanding experience each time. This was our first time at Roy’s Kaanapali and it lived up to all expectations.

    Made a reservation. Seated promptly. We had the Misoyaki Butterfish, and Seared Tiger Shrimp, with a chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Everything was very good. But…this is not the Roy’s menu we expected. Evidently they no longer serve their delicious Chocolate Souffle, nor any scallop dishes. These are the two items i always looked forward to at Roy’s. So disappointed.

    We made a reservation earlier in the day for 7:15 and we were seated right on time. The calamari was absolutely delicious as was the butterfish! Excellent service too! Highly recommend!
