Rudy's Steakhouse is the premier steakhouse of Salem. They take great pride in their gold medal winning steaks, aging their beef in house and hand cutting their steaks daily. Their soups are made from scratch and are known to be some of the best in town. All of their gourmet sauces and salad dressings are also made from scratch, using only the finest ingredients.

Trying one of their award winning fresh Marionberry infused cocktails is a must! Their Marionberry Lemon Drop might be the most famous cocktail in Salem. Furthermore, their Marionberry Cobbler and Blueberry Bread Pudding are some of the most incredible desserts you will ever try!

Rudy's Steakhouse is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

We booked this reservation through Open Table, and included a note that this was our anniversary dinner. Typically Rudy’s provides some recognition of special events and offers diners a complimentary desert. This time there was no acknowledgment of the special events. The food is good, but it is outrageously expensive. While we’ve been long-time customers of this restaurant, it will be a long time before we return.

Wonderful evening with friends sharing an excellent meal, drink and fellowship at a favorite restaurant. The service was very good and noise level was perfect. We have yet to be disappointed in our visits to Rudy's for lunch, happy hour or dinner.

By restaurant name, this is a "Steakhouse". After being seated, we were informed that they were out of all prime rib. OK, extra time and effort goes into preparing prime rib, so if a larger number than average people happen to order prime rib, then they run out. It happens at all restaurants. Then we were informed by our server that they were also out of ribeye steaks, lamb chops, pork chops, one size of filet mignon, and one size of tomahawk steak. Not sure what happened, but this seems pretty unacceptable for a "Steakhouse". It wasn't even a special holiday like Valentine's Day, New Years, Snowball, Prom, or Graduation. Our server was fantastic and very apologetic. We were dining with some friends for a special 70th birthday celebration who had never been there before, and I doubt they will ever return.

Several people in our party ordered filets, and all of them were overcooked; several ordered medium, and one ordered medium rare, and they all came to the table well done; we sent one back because it was so overdone it was inedible. One person in our party added scallops, and they came out twenty minutes after the entree after we asked about them, and they were cold. I ordered the chicken marsala, and one half of the chicken was overcooked and like rubber, and the other was undercooked. It was definitely an off night in the kitchen; the entrees took over forty minutes to get to the table. Our server was terrific and apologetic; we probably won't be back; this is our second bad experience, and it seems the food doesn't match the price anymore.
