Rumi's Kitchen first opened more than a decade ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by Chef / Owner Ali Mesghali. Showcasing the flavors of Iran -- fresh herbs, kabobs cooked over an open-fire grill -- quickly won loyal guests at the original location in Sandy Springs, GA and set us on pace to open our first restaurant outside of Georgia in 2020. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet whose words and life teach us how to find inner peace, happiness and love. We invite you to Rumi’s Kitchen where fresh, healthy food and attentive Persian hospitality await you.

We had a 7:30 reservation for 8 I had made months in advance. We didn’t get seated until 8. Not acceptable. The GM did come to the table and apologize and brought us a bottle of champagne which was a nice gesture. However, I got home and looked at the receipt and not only did they tax me on the champagne that was comped but they took the 20% gratuity also out of the total which included the champagne cost. Not good practice and I will be calling the GM about it. We love Rumi’s and have been there a dozen times. This just doesn’t sit well with me. If it’s a system issue, it really needs to be looked at. Don’t bring a complementary champagne bottle and then tax and tip on it.

Wonderful experience for my boyfriends birthday. The food was delicious! We ordered the rack of lamb in which was cooked to perfection at medium rare. Our waitress kept our dinner paced properly, checked in appropriately and truly enhanced our dining experience and we will be back!

Excellent Persian food at Rumi’s. We enjoyed the olives, dolmeh, and kale grapefruit salad as appetizers and had the lamb shank, Chilean sea bass, and hangar steak for dinner. The baklava and faloude were so good!

The food was excellent and the portions are sizable enough to take home. We were there for lunch and we didn’t have to strain to have a conversation.
