Welcome to Rusticucina, where locally sourced ingredients, seasonal dishes and a warm ambiance reign supreme. We are named to reflect the merging of two cultures; American and Sicilian, since our owners are straight out of a small town in Sicily. We invite neighborhood dwellers and visitors to experience our farm-to-neighborhood restaurant unlike any other. Aperitivo, a traditional Italian-style happy hour, leads the way—think sensational small bites, Aperol Spritzes, Negronis and Limoncello. We also offer a full bar and carefully curated craft cocktails, along with an impressive beer and wine list. Our food menu, boasts hearty, rustic cuisine, with pasta made in-house, from scratch, as well palate-pleasing entrees and a slate of pizzas and flat breads. Our tableside service offers a one-of-a-kind, dedicated experience, and their outdoor space is the perfect landing spot for dog lovers and sun worshipers. We even offer a pet menu for furry guests.

Possibly the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in SD! The homemade pasta, cocktails, and desserts are to die for. It gets loud if you sit indoors, so would recommend an outdoor table if anyone in your party is hard of hearing. Will definitely be back!!

Atmosphere was nice. Appetizers were better then entrée. Cacio de pepe was more like an Alfredo. If i wanted alfredo i would of ordered it... Lasagna had no taste. And they poured some white sauce on it! Most place put cheese and put in oven to melt. I would go else where. Only good thing was that they took off for one entrée.

Sourdough bread appetizer was delicious, cheese wheel pasta was cold and lemonade was sour. Ambience was nice and waiters were very attentive and helpful. Decent experience, would probably just go to little Italy for better pasta.

Another fantastic meal at one of my favorite Italian restaurants in San Diego. I had my favorite Casio e Pepe sauce over pappardelle pasta with flash fried jumbo prawns. My wife had a fantastic salmon dish. Just go to this place and check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
