Open from breakfast through to dinner and late-night drinks, Sael offers a menu rooted in traditional recipes, catering to a wide range of tastes. The kitchen, led by ex-Pollen Street Social Executive Chef Dale Bainbridge, offers options such as a set lunch and prix fixe menu, making an ideal spot for a mid-work meal or pre-theatre visit.
Upstairs, you'll find 'Apples & Pears,' a sleek and edgy bar where art meets attitude, complete with a DJ booth for late-night entertainment.

Excellent British food , quality and creative.
The location is perfect and great atmosphere.
The only negative thing, music too loud and not corresponding to the quality of food.

We are now regulars because the food, service & wine menu are excellent.
The bonus is using the "Apples & Pears" bar upstairs for cosey drinks.

The staff - every single one - very friendly and upbeat, We really appreciate that its a very important part of the experience for us. We had a mixture (7) items from the starters / small plates menu, so almost like creating our own tasting menu. The Wagyu skewers, Scallops and tomato in vinegar were absolutely astonishing dishes. We liked the tomato so much we ordered it twice. Other 4 dishes we had were fine, but not on the same level as the 3 mentioned. Very nice atmosphere, and the wine we had (from the under £50 section) was superb, So - all in all - highly recommended

I was really looking forward to eating at this new Jason Atherton enterprise. The three-course lunchtime menu is good value for money in this day and age although the choice is quite limited. For example a choice of two desserts, one of which was missing the key ingredient. On pointing this out, no apology offered. Would I go again? Probably not.

Booked to come here after the Times review. Really disappointing and way over priced. Service was dreadful. Scallop and razor clam starter was luke warm and cloying. Brill and steak mains were good but side dishes were hopeless. Chicken was dry. We couldn’t face desert so can’t comment.

Good points. Lovely staff and the food was so delicious and original. Would love to return again just for the cod dish. However Music and other noise way too loud. Also the greeter tried to give us an impossible table. Way too close to next door tables.

Frequent traveler to London, who made a reservation following a positive review in Time Out. I was not disappointed. Bright spacious restaurant near Picadilly. As I was alone, I sat at the bar. A very delightful lunch due to an attentive staff, excellent menu, and scrumptious food. Highly recommend.
