Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.

When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.

Overall great a couple of minor issues but the staff took care of them. Waitstaff was very helpful and our server Savanna was wonderful 👍👍. We will be back soon !!!!!

The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. It was the first time my husband and I visited the sail loft and we will definitely dine here again. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. would definitely recommend to anyone.

Good meal, although my scallops had cooled a bit due to a long delay. Noise level from the music was beyond distracting and was quite annoying. Why do restaurants think that blasting music enhances the dining experience? It does not.
