A great location in the quiet outskirts of La Cañada, Sakana Sushi Restaurant is the perfect spot to dine after a long day of work in Downtown LA, or the perfect place to enjoy amazing sake and sushi with the company of family and friends. Enjoy the succulent taste of the great Big Eye Tuna with one of our variations of tuna sashimi, or tuna rolls. Feast with our grilled Scottish salmon with vegetables and shrimp tempura. Really on all levels, this is a very middling establishment. Somewhat plain and perfunctory decor, service is friendly but not very attentive, and the cuisine is ok but certainly not anything special.

We made a reservation on Open Table for 7:30 and when we get there they say they do not use this service. They they did not do anything even after showing them the reservation and said it was an hour wait. What a joke. Remove yourself from this service if you are not using it and make people drive 35 minutes away for nothing.

We had made reservations thru Open Table for 6:30p. When we arrived on time, there was a long line of people waiting, mostly with reservations. They didn’t honor Open Table reservations last night.

Food is great. I recommend the Calamari salad! The Kama grilllef fish has so much flavor. Tonkatsu ramen is average. Overall good experience
