Sakana Sushi Lounge is the culmination of hand selected fish and creative Japanese cuisine in an elegant yet comfortable space in Downtown Los Angeles. We'll be the first to admit it; quality is not what it used to be. Our restaurant's focus is on using the highest quality ingredients which may be a paradigm shift in an our fast paced world. An amazing jewel in DTLA. The food, service, and atmosphere all make this spot a must visit location for enjoying the best sushi etc. that I have had in quite awhile!!! Simply yummy and oh so fresh. Thank you for this experience.

Perfect spot for an after work gathering. The sushi is very good, the high ceilinged room is open and the noise level is fine for conversation without shouting.

Lots of gnats were we were sat indoor. Gnat landed in my drink. Service staff did not check in on us. Saw wait staff for our order then next for the check.

It was great. Last minute date went well. Staff was very attentive and everyone was helpful outside of our server. Just a heads up when you ask for extra ginger that’s what they will give you haha. Great experience manager Brendan definitely showed a lot of love. Will be returning soon.

I didn’t know what to expect, all I knew was I ordered with them on DoorDash late at night and my gf and I were craving sushi at 11:30pm the 2 nights before and it was actually really good.2 days later they had us on hooked so I made a rsvp with OpenTable telling them I need a big table cause my gf and I were really hungry lol.. and low and behold we were greeted by the host telling us he had a big table ready for us once we arrived. They understood the situation we were in because we had skipped lunch from a long day. I had better than anticipated experience and live music + singer especially was amazing. A+ in my books and service was on point. Let’s not forget the quality and the price as well!
