   The food and service were excellent. Large wine list selection that is fairly priced. The only downside was that they didn't have our Open Table reservation. Luckily, they weren't busy and were able to seat us promptly.

   We enjoyed our first visit to Salt for my wife's birthday, after reading many very good reviews. The curried shrimp risotto was excellent. The server told me ahead of time that it was more risotto than shrimp, but I ordered it anyway. I thought there were plenty of shrimp, although I was glad she informed me what I might expect. My wife had the salmon told me it was one of the best she had ever had. The Cabernet wine flight introduced me to my new favorite, Freakshow; they have an awesome wine list. Service is unobtrusive & very professional. In my opinion, there are a lot of mediocre restaurants on the mountain. We are glad to have found Salt, & we will be sure to return when we want another high quality dining experience.

   We had the shrimp risotto and the also the scallops. Both of them were fabulous, The scallops were cooked to perfection!

   This may have been the worst dining experience of my life. From the snotty hostess/bartender with the blonde short hair, to the indifferent waiter, to the overpriced and inedible lamb shank, and to the argumentative owner - I could go into more detail, but I hate to relive it the evening. For the first time in his life, my husband who is a generous tipper, was so angry by our treatment - especially of the owner - that he did not leave a tip.

   Four in our party - one ordered the scallops with rissoto and one ordered the steak entree. Both choices were excellent. My friend and I ordered different salads and the PEI mussels. They were very good, but I happened to get a large piece of red pepper in a bite and had quite a choking fit, and I do spicy. We started with two appetizers - smoked salmon spread and brussels sprouts. Both were very good. I was disappointed in the beet, candied nuts and goat cheese salad. It was heavy on the greens, had very little nuts, beets were buried on the bottom and the kitchen forgot the goat cheese. We were visiting Pine Top. If we have another opportunity to return, I’d go again but this time order the scallops and skip the salad.

   Our dining experience was A+ I had the special of the night, red trout from Idaho, it was delicious. The service was spot on and I have to tell you the Lemon cheesecake was the best dessert I think I have ever eaten! We also shared the vanilla ice cream, homemade, finished with olive oil and sea salt, amazing! We will be back.

    Our experience here was amazing. We had our 16mo son and I was nervous because this place is so nice. Our server made our son feel welcome (to my relief because servers at other restaurants have acted annoyed) and offered him crayons to play with. Our server was funny, kind, and attentive. The food was excellent. The Bacon Brussel Sprouts were the best brussel sprout dish I’ve ever had. I was very impressed all around. We will definitely come up whenever we are in town.
