    Some of the cocktails were too sweet for my taste. Food was good, loved the scallops. Fig dessert had a great texture but something gave it a breakfast sausage taste. Food presentation was amazing as usual. This cocktail dinner was fully booked and very loud. This was my second cocktail dinner at Saltine the first one had tequila cocktails paired with tropical and heat flavored courses. Loved the food and cocktails at the first dinner better than this one, but had no real complaints with the food at either dinner just one was better than the other. The staff is extremely friendly and professional.

    Lovely restaurant and the food was great. Fresh and unique recipes and cocktails. Bryan, our waiter, was wonderful, attentive and explained everything we had questions about. Very personable. We will be back.

    We had Thanksgiving Dinner here because we were visiting my daughter. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing! We had a wonderful meal, there were five of us and it was relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Saltine!

    First of all, we have eaten at Saltine many times before over the years so I want to put this review in context. We came here for Thanksgiving dinner. I ordered the Thanksgiving special entree dinner which included dessert. The portions of each item were small for the price but they were tasty. The food was lukewarm though. The dessert came and it was a substitute for the advertised pumpkin pie. This was a problem because the server was aware that I was choosing the special entirely for the dessert. I expected that when I placed the order a serving of the dessert would be set aside. To make matters worse the server was extremely cavalier about it. The manager of the restaurant was called to address it and she was very helpful and adjusted the bill but we realized later that we were charged a tip on the full amount and it was the server’s fault in my opinion because she didn’t do her job well in the first place but she got a substantial tip anyway. The general atmosphere of this restaurant as an upscale restaurant for business people has declined significantly since we last ate there in the summer of 2022. I hope the restaurant will return to their previous level of professionalism and commitment because downtown Norfolk needs Saltine to be top notch again.
