Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Sam's is open for indoor & outdoor dining, and takeout. Serving lunch through dinner seven days a week. Award-winning, fresh New England style seafood, in a casual setting overlooking the ocean. Live Maine lobster, fresh local crab (in season), fish and chips, fried calamari, delicious clam chowder, award-winning lobster rolls, farm fresh salads, Cioppino and more! Gluten-free, kids menu, and vegetarian available.

Reservations are for inside the restaurant - please note that we can't hold tables in the bar area or outside patio. Walk-ins are also welcome! Featured on NBC’s The Today Show, named “Best Outdoor Dining in the Bay Area” by SF Magazine, and “Best Seafood Restaurant in San Mateo County” by San Jose Magazine.

I feel like this is a new Sam’s! I say that because the last time and the last few times I had been the place was unbelievably crowded, and I feel like the weight staff was not necessarily up to speed. This time, however I was pleasantly surprised! We were arrived one hour early from a reservation and were seated by a relatively friendly hostess, and our server was great! Top-notch very attentive of course there weren’t many people in the place so I kind of feel like we lucked out 12 noon and not a lot of people at Sam’s… That seems weird but what do I know?

My mixed green salad was very wilted. Not fresh at all. Chowder as usual good. Bread never came until after appetizers were eaten. Wait staff was not around visually. Had to flag her down. Was chit chatting with fellow employee. Husbands manhattan only ok. Not gumboish spicy. Sad. Short ribs tender but not very tasty. Best item was the appetizer. The calamari 👍🏼 got us full. Shd have stopped with that😬

Always amazing food. Love the oyster Rockefeller, scallops. Better than I have had anywhere else. Amazing views of the bay

We came here to celebrated our anniversary on a Friday night. The food was amazing as always. They have live music. Our server was very attentive and checking on us to make sure we have everything we needed. They gave us a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary. We cannot wait to return to try more dishes next year.
