   I had the worst experience ever here, til today I used to be a local at this place, sometimes more than once a week. I always sat at the bar in where I thought I was welcome, turns out that I wasn’t. The “mixologists” there are the most hypocrite people I’ve ever met. They started talking awful things about me with a friend of mine who obviously was going to let me know. I’m still in shock with this situation because I wasn’t expecting it, obviously they weren’t friends of mine but I always tried to be decent and cordial with those people so that’s why I never expected something like that. Please be careful with this place especially in the bar area, they tend to badmouth people behind their back.

It’s disappointing to feel unwelcome somewhere you tried to be kind and cordial. Regardless of personal relationships, guests should never be subjected to gossip or disrespect.    I was kicked out before ordering my main dish because the other reservation was already in. “If you were really hungry, you should’ve ordered food faster” the manager said. He was very rude and talking loudly and disrespectfully. I mean, I ordered the caesar salad, which is huge, the foi gras and was ready to order a sea bass. “There is a 2 1/2-3 hours policy” that is not specified in Open table and we were 2:20 mins in. Very dissapointing that this place has turned into a tourist $$$ making machine and the manager forgot good customer service. It is obviously not my first time here and got me thinking whether I should return after this awful experience. The bartender service was excellent, as usual, he has nothing to do with the bad customer service from the manager.

   Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m truly sorry to hear how disappointed and disrespected you felt—especially as a returning guest who clearly valued the restaurant. Being rushed mid-meal and spoken to in such a manner is unacceptable, and a time policy that isn’t clearly communicated ahead of time only adds to the frustration. It’s unfortunate when hospitality gets overshadowed by turnover goals. I’m glad to hear the bartender maintained great service, but it’s clear that the overall experience fell far short. Your feedback deserves to be taken seriously, and I hope it leads to reflection and improvement.

   I had the pleasure of dining at Santaella in Puerto Rico this past Tuesday, and it was truly a memorable experience. The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. We started with the tuna skewers, which were so good. The morcillas were another highlight—the dipping sauce had a nice spicy kick to it. The alcapurias with crab were an absolute treat—crispy on the outside, with a generous amount of delicious crab on top. Each dish was expertly prepared and full of distinct, authentic flavors. To complement the meal, we enjoyed the watermelon mojitos, which were refreshing and perfectly balanced between sweetness and minty freshness. A great drink to unwind with, especially in the warm PR weather. Overall, Santaella provided an exceptional dining experience with fantastic food, drinks and the staff were great. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area but reservations are a must.

   Food was amazing definitely get the tuna pinchos. Great service and ambience. Everything we ate was very good and the drinks were beautiful.

    Drinks took super long and the food took a bit longer to come out. Ordered Parchita, Parcha Margarita, Chillo Frito and Pastelon. We were there from 4:15 until 6:30. However the food was great and the drinks were good. Server was excellent.
