The neighborhood knows us for our heritage chicken parm, grass-fed beef meatballs, homemade pasta, and extra thin crust pizza, but what people really come back for is the thing that anchors it all: the sauce. Staying true to Italian tradition, the team starts their day with pots of simmering sauce, just like Nonna does when prepping for Sunday dinner. The recipes are tried-and-true and made with the best ingredients with love from Italian expert chef consultant Maura Ardu. The space is cozy, the music is always just a little bit too loud, and the dishes are classic and consistent.

    This restaurant delivers an extraordinary dining experience, with food that is truly exceptional. The highlight of the meal was the polenta, a dish crafted to absolute perfection. Served tableside, the presentation added an elegant and personal touch that elevated the entire experience. The texture was creamy, the flavor rich and perfectly balanced, making it a standout among an already impressive menu. The service matched the quality of the food, with attentive and knowledgeable staff watched very closed by the excepcional manager Austin, enhancing the overall ambiance. From start to finish, the attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence were evident. Highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience—don’t miss the polenta!

    Every visit to. NYC must include a dinner (or two) @ Sauce for us … the food is amazing, the staff attentive and fun (thank you John Luc!) and dig the music

    The birthday was a shame ! We came from very far and SAUCE was closed! Even though with our reservation made early in the morning!
