Contrary to what most think, the word tapas actually means "to cover". Rooted as a tradition in Spanish culture, socializing patrons of restaurants would cover their wine glasses with small plates to protect their beverages from insects and small pests while outdoors. At Savor, we pay homage to this ritual in our own unique way. The urban and chic atmosphere invites locals to step outside Amarillo for an evening and into another place entirely. With an urban, speakeasy vibe, Savor welcomes its patrons to sit comfortably at the bar or in a cozy booth next to the floor to ceiling windows.

    Our server was excellent and as usual the food was excellent. The only thing that continues to be slow every time we go in here is the bar service.

    We had several appetizers, drinks and a dessert, and it was all very tasty. Our server Noah was excellent and we always enjoy coming here.

    Our first time visiting and it was excellent!! Food was great and our server was very helpful picking out different dishes. Great gluten free options if you need them!

    I’ve been here a few times, and there’s always something we leave talking about. This time, we came for New Year’s Eve dinner and were surprised to find out there’s a back room. Since it was NYE, we expected to be in the front room with its darker, more vibey atmosphere and good energy. Instead, the back room was bright and felt like we were sitting outside on a summer day (even though it was New Year’s Eve). It was also incredibly quiet, with guests whispering, so much so that you could hear every conversation in the room if you spoke at a normal volume. The service was just okay. We got the feeling the back room was an afterthought, and it also happened to be where the kitchen was running food from. We spent most of the meal watching staff rush back and forth through a very tight space, and hearing the kitchen doors constantly opening and closing didn’t help the ambiance. Overall, we want to like Sa-Vor, but there’s always something that feels a little off, and we can’t quite put our finger on it. Take our advice and always request to sit in the main room to avoid the awkward back room—unless you’re in a big group or hosting a private event. All in all, we'll be back. Like I said, we really want this to be in our normal rotation but it just hasn't hit the mark yet.

    Nice atmosphere and good food. I do feel like the paella is not quite like the pictures so would lime it go back to the way it was before. Very good service.

    My husband and I took my parents here for a dinner out and had a wonderful time. Food was delicious and service was excellent! Would recommend!

    Wonderful ambiance with an interesting menu and nice wine selection. We shared tapas and a Caesar salad as well as the scallops and filet, all were outstanding. Highly recommend!
