Classic and contemporary California Wine Country in the Northeast Heights: Welcome to Savoy, a sun-filled, unpretentious but sophisticated, wine-friendly restaurant!

Natural light from a wall of South facing windows reflects off buttery walls, warming the wood and stone of the main dining room. Our open kitchen piques your appetite with its scents & sounds and the energy of our chefs. A comforting atmosphere greets you in the Lounge before you’re drawn into the lush, vine-covered atrium to the West. From there, step onto the shaded patio and relax by the firepits as you take in a view of the Sandia Mountains. In the warmer months, enjoy our live music series, as well! **Please note, the music series is temporarily postponed due to pandemic restrictions

                          I ordered the large cut of Prime Rib medium-rare, it and its accompaniments arrived dead cold. I spoke to the server and he offered to reheat it . I explained it would be overcooked as it was already at medium. He brought it back, the steak was warm but the accompaniments were still cold. He had me cut into the steak in the middle which I did and it was well-done. He just shrugged it off and walked away. All they needed to done was get a new cut and plate it. That was not any kind option. The Manager came by and said “that doesn’t look good” and comped the dish. I just wanted new dish done properly and not forgotten. I have been a customer as kind as Savoy has been in business. I diner there 1 - 4 times a month. I have never been this disappointed or felt so snubbed. My company ate but I went home and prepared my own dinner.

                          The meal was exceptional. We always enjoy the unique dishes the create. The ambiance in the room with the fireplace was perfect for our evening out.

                          We’ve always liked this place but recent visits have been disappointing. The food just isn’t as good and our most recent meal was very disappointing. I couldn’t detect any sage in the sage brown butter sauce and half of the polenta in my companion’s dish was stone cold as if it had just come out of the refrigerator. Someone in the kitchen was shouting out orders and being unnecessarily loud about it. Tha shouting made the atmosphere feel like a diner rather than a nice restaurant.

                          We dined with our children and their 2 year old. Our server was incredibly attentive and catered to our every need. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. A lovely evening all around.

                          The server wanted to up-sale my wife a martini and didn't listen to how she wanted her martini made. She didn't get it the way she ordered it. He was short and somewhat rude. The restaurant was overall good, with the exception of him. The rest of the staff was great.

                          Fantastic oysters, which is why we came here. Prime rib was very good, although presented on top of mashed potatoes and covered in fried onions; it was not visually appealing and was hard to eat without moving everything around. The tasty fried onions got soggy quickly on top of the prime rib. My husband got the salmon, which he liked, but he said the sweet potatoes were a little undercooked. The salmon also had a bright green sauce that our server explained was for contrast and flavor, but it looked a bit artificial. The restaurant could use some remodeling -- there was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom. Our server was attentive. I would come back mainly for the oysters (and the pizza, which I've had previously and is amazing). I still give it 4 stars, as this place is reliable and has a good menu, wine list, cocktails, and service.
