Sawmill Bar & Table, Southern Vermont’s culinary gem, uses the local agricultural bounty to create world-class farm-to-table fare. Executive Chef Christopher Lauinger brings his wealth of culinary offerings to provide a menu driven by the seasons for an unforgettable dining experience. Enjoy your evening in our modern rustic Great Room by the fire, in one of our 2 beautiful dining rooms, at our 18th century historic bar, on our beautiful Bluestone Terrace. We are equipped to accommodate events of all sizes, from intimate dinner parties to full-scale weddings.                                                     What amazing culinary experience in the mountain. The food is absolutely top-notch - every single detail details is handled to perfection. This is like Manhattan top restaurant standard Heidi recommend and we will for sure come back.

                                                    This dining experience was excellent. The ambiance was beautiful. Servers and host attentive and the food was delicious with generous portions. We certainly will recommend to our friends ans family.

                                                    Had a fabulous meal and exemplary service. They even surprised us with complimentary glasses of champagne since I had noted on our reservation that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Be sure to have the mussels.

                                                    We started off with the "small" cheese plate--3 cheeses. And while the cheeses were all excellent, it was not small at all! There were only two of us, and this easily could have served four or even six! Needless to say, we took half of it home. On to the Estate Greens salad, which was delicious. I had the Cornmeal Crusted Cod, and it was done perfectly--tender, flaky, tasty, with a wonderful sauce/stew that was almost like a chowder, containing shrimp, small sliced potatoes, bacon, and chives. I'm normally not a big cream sauce guy, but everything just "worked" together beautifully. My wife had to House Made Pappardelle (and this was the widest pappardelle I ever saw!). She thought it was excellent, but was maybe a little light on the mushrooms. Our table was toward the front of the restaurant, with a great view of the fireplace. We even got to sit there for a bit before our cheese plate was served. As it was Valentine's Day, we skipped dessert because we had a box of chocolates and some fresh strawberries waiting for us at home. But the Maple Bourbon creme brulee looked really good!
