Founded in 1965, Scoma's Seafood Restaurant is located in the heart of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. Family-owned for three generations, our iconic waterfront restaurant is famous for serving the freshest seafood from pier-to-plate. An award-winning bar program includes an extensive wine list, local microbrews, and expertly crafted cocktails. For nearly 60 years, locals, visitors, politicians, athletes, actors, signers, and heads of state have been frequenting Scoma's for its old-school hospitality, delicious seafood, spectacular views, and impeccable cocktails. Located on a working pier, Scoma's has its own fish receiving station, dealing directly with local fishers for 100% sustainable seafood.

Scoma’s has long been a staple of San Francisco’s culinary scene, and my latest visit reminded me why this seafood institution is always worth the trip. We started our meal with a selection of appetizers, and each one hit the mark. The raw oysters were briny, fresh, and served with a side of freshly grated horseradish that spoke volumes about their commitment to quality seafood. The crab cakes were light yet flavorful, striking the perfect balance without being too heavy. But the star of the starters was the steamed mussels: tender, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. For the main course, we opted for the clam linguine and the cioppino. Both dishes were exceptional. The clam linguine featured perfectly al dente pasta enveloped in a savory, garlicky broth that had just the right amount of richness. The cioppino, a classic San Francisco dish, was brimming with fresh seafood in a robust tomato-based stew. These mains were so satisfying that they reaffirmed why Scoma’s is a must-visit every time I’m in the city. The portion sizes for the mains were generous, perfect for hearty appetites. While the price point is fair, given the quality and setting, it’s worth every penny for the experience. Scoma’s consistently delivers outstanding food, warm service, and that quintessential SF charm. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this restaurant is a treat you don’t want to miss.

Fantastic! I haven't been since 1987, and it was wonderful to visit again, what a venerable, service-oriented SF institution! The service was top-notch, the crabcakes may have been the best we've ever had, and the eggnog was definitely The best we've ever had! We were so full that we took dessert to-go home, couldn't resist the tiramisu. And the location on the pier can't be beat, fun to eat fresh fish right near where the fresh catch comes in every morning. Thank you!

Seafood is always excellent and fresh. Only regret is that Dungernous season was delayed, but the sole sufficed.

Everything was amazing for our 5 year Anniversy! Hot bread, The best most tender calamari appetizer. Caesar salad, clam chowder . I can go on and on . Everything was so fresh!!

The four of us enjoyed our fish dishes fresh and cooked perfectly. The service was great. The views need a little work. The parking was exceptionally convenient and pleasant. The drinks were great. Will be back for more.

Had another lovely dinner at Scoma’s - enjoyed a delicious selection of oysters, the crab Louie was enormous, and had a decanter of Sauvignon blanc on tap. Service was terrific! Of course we’ll be back :)

We went for the first time. We are local so we thought it would be great to support a local business for our anniversary even it is at fishman's wharf. Food and service are great. The seating is not ideal - we stated it was our anniversary, and it was acknowledged when we checked in. However, we were still seated right by the bar where it was very noisy and busy. The friendly waiter got us the best vanilla ice cream for anniversary celebration. We didn't even order other desserts and headed out due to noise.
