Scott’s on the Richmond riverside is a seafood restaurant offering the finest oysters, fish and crustacea. Seasonal game, meat and vegetarian dishes also feature. Our fish are responsibly caught from sustainable sources. Tables overlook the Thames, alongside our elegant oyster and Champagne bar with the full à la carte menu being served throughout the day from 12 noon.

One of the best meals we’ve had for a long while, food was superb and we (6 of us) pretty much covered the menu! My only comment would be that service wasn’t the best, we had quite a variety of wine across courses, they hold the wine at the service station so they can pour (which is lovely) but they don’t keep a proper check so we sat around quite a bit waiting to be topped up, also at each course the wine arrived either part way through or in terms of the start course - after we’d finished Perfectly pleasant, nothing was too much trouble and the matre de is superb when involved

Nice room, although not as nice as the lower floor! Strange decor. The service was excellent but the food didnt quite live up to the pricing....some of the fish dishes were overdone/dry. Pricey winelist too. But overall, a buzzy ambiance and nice food.

I've been to Scott's many times and have always had a really lovely experience....food and service (and visible manager) exceptional. Yesterday felt a bit different - there was small fragments of shell in the oysters and the waiting staff were verging on 'cold' - utterly unengaged (normally they're chatty and very responsive). One waiter literally coughed the entire time we were there....then handled glasses and cutlery immediately afterwards- not what's needed, especially right before Christmas! The food was good as always but the usual 'gloss' was missing. Hope this was a one off.

The team are fantastic, some of the dishes are amazing and a couple are not up to par. The prawn tempura are more like a fish and chips batter that is quite dense and oily, they did replace them for us and it was better but still not tempura style and still quite oily. The team handle everything super well and are wonderful!

It’s such a lovely restaurant. We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was the perfect place. The food choices were all tempting and it was hard to decide what to pick. But all our selections were delicious. And the service we got from Chelsea was charming, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful afternoon.

We booked the table at 7 and we were told at 8.20 that we needed to leave it in 10 minutes…..apparently there is a clock ticking from the minute you sit down, which makes the whole experience more like a sign in at a job than the pleasurable experience that you would expect in a restaurant of this category. I guess with this policy the minutes spent in bringing the food or drinks to the table should go into the “discounted time”….or a clock being placed at the table to stop the time from ticking if anything is delayed….? All very far from what could be considered as an elegant and fine dining experience

I expected more from Scott’s. Service was average- there was no warmth, it felt perfunctory. The decor ! 1920s Parisian bordello? Over decorated- copies of Renoir, Cezanne, Chagall. We had the Festive Prix Fixe and it was tasty but disappointing. Low lighting is fine, but in the loo? Splurge elsewhere.
