Great food!! The waiter came to our table too much, after every bite he asked how everything was 👎🏻. Other than that everything was perfect !!

Christmas Day dinner was excellent along with the service. Ethan was an outstanding server and made the evening wonderful and a huge breath of fresh air from an already stressful Christmas trip to San Antonio. Food portions are just right. I had one of the best, if not THE best, linguini carbonara plates ever. My stepsons enjoyed their food as well as my wife. The wine selection was perfect as they have a right balance of variety and price points to accommodate those that like moderately priced bottles and some higher priced ones like Silver Oak and Stags Leap. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.

Have eaten at numerous Italian restaurants in San Antonio and this one is very expensive in comparison. While the food was delicious, the portions were small. The waiter was clearly gassed from working on Christmas Day and we had to repeat our order several times. Food did come quickly so service was fast. But all in all, much prefer Italian food/value at Capperelli’s on Main, Bourbon Street, Milano’s, etc. Won’t be back.

Last year for Christmas we ate at Scuzzi’s and loved it. A wonderful experience in fact. So much so that I booked a month in advance for this Christmas Day. Unfortunately it was not the same experience. Our waiter Dan and another waiter were the absolute tops! As busy as they were they were attentive and friendly. The whole service from all the staff was fantastic. This has nothing to do with them. My main course was horrible. At least a half of a cup of sauce was covering the manicotti. So much so that I had to scoop as much as I could off but was still left with too much. But the worst was the manicotti shells. They were doughy and undercooked, hence the bucket of sauce. I couldn’t eat it after two bites. I didn’t bother to order anything else since my partner’s food was fine to eat and I didn’t want to hold him up and ask him to eat cold food. A very big disappointment for this Italian. All in all I won’t go back next year. I don’t recommend the place on a holiday.

Very uneven service. Busy but not prepared for a large clientele. Too many people waiting on the same table. Got an erroneous bill. Should be much better prepared for a large number.

We chose to dine here based on reviews on Open Table. Pros: our server Alex was outstanding Spaghetti was perfectly done Cons : Appetizer Fried Ravioli had very little cheese stuffed- virtually hollow Pizza crust was mediocre & overall too salty. Meatball was inedible Clam dish was way too salty & inedible. Ambience was not nice - dingy. Minestrone soup broth was good but the vegetables in it were not properly cooked. I don’t like leaving a negative review but managers need to know. Thanks again to Alex for his outstanding service.

We appreciate your feedback on the fried ravioli, pizza, meatballs, and clam dish, and we’ll definitely pass it to our management for review. We noticed some modifications were made to your ticket, and just a heads up—the marinara sauce we make from scratch has anchovies in it, which might explain the salty flavor you experienced. We really recommend trying our dishes as they come, but if you want to explore different sauces, we can put them on the side for you to taste first! We would love to have you back to enjoy our food as it’s prepared on the menu. Thank you!
