Welcome to Sea & Sky, Hotel La Jolla’s new penthouse dining experience with breathtaking ocean views. Indulge in a meticulously crafted menu that highlights the bounty of coastal California. Feast on the freshest seafood and locally sourced ingredients as Sea & Sky takes you on a culinary journey, where the flavors of the ocean meet the infinite horizon.

Sea & Sky will also offer an innovative drink menu with regional California and Valle de Guadalupe wines, as well as handcrafted cocktails with ingredients from around the world. Please join us for Jazz brunch every Sunday.

Happy hour offered daily in the bar and lounge from 3PM - 5PM (reservations not accepted).
Please note on Mondays we offer a limited menu in our lounge and bar.

Sea & Sky will open its doors for a festive brunch experience, featuring one-day-only specials accompanied by the restaurant’s famous ocean views located on the 11th floor of the Hotel La Jolla. Christmas day brunch specials include ½ Dozen Fresh Kumiai Oysters Florentine topped with house made bearnaise and baby spinach; and a twist on Green Shakshuka featuring eggs any style complemented by raclette cheese, wilted kale, avocado, and a bright tomatillo salsa.

Raise a glass and join us at 5:30 PM on Thursday January 30th as we celebrate 50 years of Caymus Vineyards with an exclusive five course wine dinner with views of the Pacific Ocean. Discover the stories and flavors of the iconic Napa Valley region with a curated menu thoughtfully paired with Caymus' most celebrated wines. Reservations required, $105 per person plus tax and gratuity. One lucky guest will take home a liter bottle of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. Complimentary parking.

Here’s the revised review: Mixed Feelings About This Place I visited this restaurant for brunch and was initially impressed. The ambiance is lovely, and the view adds a relaxing touch to the overall experience. The food, at first, seemed quite good—well-prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I noticed a long hair strand in my dish. When I brought this up to the server, she apologized and took the plate to the kitchen. However, she returned with a “new” plate in under two minutes. This made me question if they had simply removed the hair and replated the same food instead of preparing a fresh serving. Adding to the concern, the restaurant has a glass door that gives a partial view of the kitchen, and I couldn’t help but notice that none of the staff seemed to be wearing hair nets. This raised further doubts about their hygiene practices. This situation overshadowed what could have been a wonderful brunch. While the staff was polite, the handling of the issue felt rushed and insincere, and the lack of visible hygiene measures was disappointing. It’s a shame, as the setting and food (without the hair) had potential. If management improves their kitchen practices and ensures better transparency and hygiene, this could be a great spot. For now, I’m hesitant to return. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to add!

We were a table of 5 tonight, and we were very happy with our dishes. The food was amazingly delicious and each dish was perfectly cooked from our appetizers to our desserts. Great service too. Beautiful ocean views! Elegant restaurant. We’ll be back again very soon.

I decided to bring some clients in for a nice relaxing dinner with amazing views. Based on my last experience here I held the bar pretty high. Well it did not disappoint! Amazing food, drinks and top notch service just like I remember!!!

It’s expensive compared to similar foods and similar places in La Jolla, I guess that you pay for ambience.

The turkey was shredded and all dark meat instead of separate turkey leg, thigh or breast meat. The sides of dressing, potatoes were in small bowls with no gravy to add over it. Some of the vegetables were grilled to a black burnt look. But the salad was very interesting with many ingredients like hickory and goat cheese. But the hi-light of the meal was the large and very thick and delicious prime rib. All in all made for a pleasant thanksgiving evening with views of the La Jolla Shores.

The view is only outdone by the best service. An absolute delightful place for any occasion. The quick access to the 5 freeway and avoidance of downtown La Jolla make this a local's favorite.
