Sekoya Lounge & Kitchen is now open! We are thrilled to offer a modern American cuisine, while emphasizing flavor profiles of Northern California. We will have a farm to table concept, using local and organic produce, and sustainable seafood. Our kitchen houses a Hibachi Grill, and all of our breads and desserts are house made.

Sekoya, pronounced just like “Sequoia,” means just that. Our cuisine, beverage program, and design work together to pay homage to the dynamic location of Palo Alto, while also introducing something new and fresh to the community. The design of Sekoya is meant to evoke an organic, botanical experience inspired directly by the California-native Sequoia and Redwood tree also known as “Palo Alto”.

In addition to reserving unique experiences in our Lounge and at our Tree Table, we will also have two private dining rooms: The Pacific Room and The Sekoya Terrace.

Pacific Room: our cozy indoor space is perfectly set up for business meetings, with fixed A/V solutions. Sekoya Terrace: our enclosed terrace provides an “al fresco” dining atmosphere with both windows to allow for air flow, and fixed heaters during the cooler months. Our terrace is tucked away to provide ultimate privacy.

Exclusive Lounge Section for 5 to 7 guests

When booking a Lounge Experience, you are reserving our chic sofas and low-top coffee table exclusively for your party. The minimum number of guests required for this experience is 5 and the maximum is 7. Please see photo prior to booking as. Please note, all of our 'Experiences' feature our full dinner menu. If you would like to dine in our lounge with a group of less than 5, you are welcome to make a standard lounge reservation when they are available, or by simply walking in. These reservations in the lounge are communal. To accommodate all of our seatings, we respectfully ask for a two and a half hour dining experience. Thank you!
Tree Table Experience (6 to 8 guests)

Our custom Tree Table, made from a Guanacaste tree, is a wonderful setting for your next gathering. Perfect for groups of 6 to 8, this stunning table is set in our bar and lounge. Please note, all of our 'Experiences' feature our full dinner menu. To accommodate all of our seatings, we respectfully ask for a two and a half hour dining experience. Thank you!

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The decor was beautiful and made a great date night for my girlfriend and me. The mushroom tempura, skewers, and ahi tuna were the stars of the show for me!

We enjoyed all of the food we ate…and we ate ALOT! The caviar service was delicious, as were the oysters. Loved the tempura mushrooms. The ahi tartar cannoli was so cute and yummy. The shishito skewers were good. The burrata was tasty, as was the burger, the curry, the ahi, and the steak. All of the food had inventive ideas that really elevated the experience; same for the drinks. The ambiance was fun, and the service was impeccable. We will definitely go back.

All the flavors were exceptional. We had Shishito peppers, tempura mushrooms and the ahi tuna and did not disappoint. Also paired with a lovely bottle of a red. They were even able to manage my garlic allergy which is always appreciated.

My husband and I had dinner there recently. Service was very good, although it took quite awhile for our two cocktails. I do hate being asked if I would like to order before my cocktail comes. The menu is small. I wasn't in the mood for a very large steak. not sure if I would even order that there.. I ended up with the mushrooms, excellent..and the melon salad. bland.. needed feta or something else. My husband had the fish entree..Tuna? It should have been listed on the plates section. Even the waiter asked if he would like to order something extra as the portion is small. We might come back.. especially if we are in the mood for a few small plates.

I hosted a small group for work at Sekoya and we had a fantastic time. Olivia, the head bartender, was super friendly and very accommodating when it came to making some custom cocktails. We were seated in the lounge area, which was really nice and casual for our group. We shared a bunch of starters and I’ll have to call out that the fried mushrooms, the beef, tongue, skewers, and the crispy tuna rolls were really delicious! I had the tropical nights cocktail, which was so tasty and a good size drink.

We loved the food, service & drinks. Unique food made the experience novel and fun. It has a casual yet elegant ambiance that got us in a great mood. Highly recommended.

It was a lovely experience dining @ Sekoya. It’s not a huge place so obviously it gets busy. Service was excellent and our server was so helpful and gave great suggestions. Food and drinks were phenomenal. The crispy mushroom was my favorite as well as the prawns! Cocktails were good as well!

I attended the one yr anniversary, Congrats! The food was well presented and tasty. The services was warm and attentive. The only dig is the menu is limited, 1-2 extra mains would do the trick.

Sekoya has become a regular favorite. While the lounge is beautifully crafted, we are COVID-cautious, so, the front patio, which turns out to be one of the best restaurant patios around. The menu is eclectic, the ingredients are high quality, the preparation is crazy good, and the service creates a warm and enjoyable dining experience.
