The restaurant is beautiful and the presentation of the food is lovely. Our entrées were very tasty but a little bit on the small side. So if you have a surfers appetite, you might also want to order a starter. We didn’t order any cocktails, but the ones we saw going by looked yummy. You definitely need a reservation during the busy season. Make it well in advance.

Our experience was exceptional so much so we attempted to return another night! We missed out due to a very busy holiday schedule, but who can blame others from wanting to experience such incredible food, drink, setting and service?! Carlos was an absolute delight regaling us with his wit and wisdom— as well as the perfect recommendations and pairings. We would have returned just for him! We plan to return to Nosara in the near future and may just be eating at Sendero!

It would’ve been a great evening, however this restaurant, even for Nosara is outrageously overpriced. The tuna starter was a few very tiny thinly sliced pieces of fish -almost a laughable amount for the price. The Beet and Cherve salad was simply beets with a few tiny pieces of cheese and a passable dressing. After reading glowing reviews, we came in with the intention of having a few appetizers and a glass of wine but after that first course we were sadly disappointed.

Amazing service & fabulous food. Cesar is the most attentive and kind server I ask for him every time. Pros: amazing food with vegan options, cool vibe, fabulous service, super cool bar & drinks, close to beach for sunset then dinner. Cons: very loud, no vegan dessert, TINIEST menu on the planet- very hard to read, very pricy. Definitely a cool experience and much needed & appreciated in our community if Nosara.

We spent our final night in Nosara at Sendero’s for dinner. We had gone to many other lovely restaurants in the town, but I have to admit this was our absolute finest dining experience, and we were so grateful to end our amazing trip with the wonderful experience we had at Sendero’s. Emmanuel was our server. Honestly, it felt like we had known him forever. So personable, so helpful and highly attentive to all the details. We were truly sad that we had not discovered this place before the last day of our visit, but we will be spreading the word far and wide that Sendero’s is an absolute must stop in Nosara. Thank you Emmanuel, and the whole team at Sendero’s, for making us feel so welcome.
