Reflecting the charm of its surrounding neighborhood, Shangri-la is a distinctive space in Fair Oaks that serves seasonal, contemporary American fare, along with handcrafted cocktails in a unique setting.

With modernist architectural design, fire pits and classic cocktails from an indoor/outdoor bar, Shangri-la is a full-service restaurant and private events venue that feels like a Palm Springs resort. We have two beautiful indoor dining rooms as well as a 6,500 sq. foot patio featuring bocce ball (adults only) and corn hole (all ages) and full-service seating inside and outside. (Voted Best patio and Best restaurant by Sac Magazine). Well behaved pups are also welcome on our patio when weather permits.

    Ian was an outstanding server. We had some questions about the beer and he brought over a taster and it was a great experience! Will definitely be coming back.

    Everything was delicious, but they were a bit short staffed so Service was very slow and far between. Overall I’d go again for their delicious appetizers!

    Very nice place and service was excellent. Food came out hot and they checked up on you to see if you needed anything and if food was ok. Very clean and nice atmosphere.

    Service and food were fabulous! The piped in music was WAY TOO LOUD. Thankfully, the server turned it down at our request. However, it seemed like it was turned back up 20 minutes later. 🫤

    My son-in-law, daughter and I had a delightful experience. I was very pleased that they kindly accommodated my vegan diet . Drinks and ambiance were great as was our server. Will definitely come back!

    Overall, the food was decent. The service was ok.. what I did not like was that I was seated next to a large party that was so loud, their conversations could be heard in the entire restruant. Having my two kids, 9 and 12 , to include my wife, we were unable to hear ourselves.. To prove my point, a elderly couple was seated next to us, within minutes, they got up and left. The food lacked taste. My wife and I shared the fish tacos, a bite pricey for 3 tacos. Will not return any time soon.

    I thought it was a wonderful experience, my first time here my mom and myself had a wonderful time, the good was superb and the ambiance was beautiful and comfy, I definitely recommend this place, that had great specials and the amount of food was just enough for the price, I will be definitely coming back.
