   My nephew and I go to Shaw's once a year for my birthday and splurge on lobster tails. The food is delicious and the service is great. A little on the noisy side, but that't just because it's crowded with happy diners.

   The reviews were correct. The service is impeccable. The ambience was fine for such a massive restaurant perfect old school Chicago. The food was amazing fresh not overproduced. I highly recommend for personal or for business reasons.

   This place is still a classic. Pricey, but quality seafood! It was not too loud for us to have great conversation. The service was great!

   We really enjoyed Shaw’s. Our waiter was amazing as was all the wait staff. The oysters were amazing as well as the crab cake. My son ordered the filet and French fries off the kids menu. It was perfect! My daughter has the seafood fettuccine- not your classic American fettuccine sauce but delicious. My husband had the combination meal. The steak was good, the scallops amazing and the shrimp were ok. I had the crab stuffed flounder. This is one of my fave dishes and I was disappointed. It lacked seasoning and the fish needed a sear with butter. Brussels are our favorite side. These were a bit vinegary. The au gratin potatoes were also good - just needed a touch of salt. Overall a great experience!

   The tuna nigiri was fantastic (my recommendation over the sushi) ! So were the clam chowder and lobster tacos. The oyster sampler was great - we love trying a variety. The lemon butter sauce on the scallops was incredible. Would absolutely get the tuna nigiri and scallops again. It was not an inexpensive meal, but the food was delicious and filling.

    The place was packed due to St Patrick’s Day crowds but it was a fun atmosphere Service was excellent from hostess to bar tenders servers etc Was hoping Lake Perch was back in the menu but not yet, so the fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw were perfect replacements All in all a great meal, excellent service! Be sure to make a reservation!
