Originally inspired by the many amazing meals with family and dear friends throughout the Middle East, Shaya has been a trailblazer in modern Levantine cuisine. Drawing inspiration from the diverse cuisines & cultures of the Middle East, Meditteranean, and across North Africa, Shaya has set the benchmark for contemporary Mediterranean cuisine by honoring the age-old culinary traditions of the people who invented hospitality as we know it. Our fluffy hand-crafted pita bread baked to order in our wood-fired oven with delectable vegetable-driven dips, salads, and spreads will transport you to an exotic place. Today we hope that our food and hospitality will help you create delicious memories with your friends and family using the very best of our local and sustainably harvested ingredients, prepared and served by people who truly care.

                                                              This was our second visit to Shaya...and just like our first visit, we loved our meal. We enjoyed three of the dips: Babaganoush, Ikra, and another that had anchovies. They were all amazing! Of course, the fresh, warm pitas would make anything taste yummy! Next we had the hummus with fried chicken. It was good, but wish we had gotten the hummus with lamb ragu which we had last time and it was truly outstanding. We enjoyed a salad, that could have been cut up a bit more. It was sort of messy to get onto your plate and eat. It was good, but nothing special. Finally we enjoyed the hanger steak and potatoes. Delicious! Tender. Juicy. Just really good. They have great wine selections and the service was appropriately attentive without being annoying. We will definitely return if we come back to NOLA.

                                                              Excellent food, as always. Service was slow as the bartender and kitchen looked swamped. A very loud table of 8 women were next to us and didn’t seem to be aware of their volume level. I would def come back and love the food.

                                                              I absolutely love the fried chicken hummus! It was absolutely divine. I paired it with a Dao Chardonnay ! I truly recommend this. My server was named Robert and he was so kind and lovely. I will go back for this exact same dish and I will request for my Server Robert! It was an outstanding lunch.
