For someone familiar with Korean cuisine, many of the flavors will be well known. But for those who haven’t had the chance, the seven course meal will introduce you to many quintessential, concentrated tastes that you would find in Korean households, restaurants and convenience stores.
The savory dishes were exceptionally savory, the seafood dishes captured a true oceanic flavor and the sweet dishes made you want more.
A wonderful experience overall, if not somewhat expectable. There was perhaps a lack of ingenuity as the flavors and the overall experience felt like safe choices and similar to experiences at restaurants of comparable quality. A beautiful meal, but maybe in need of something a little more special to be an outstanding experience.
The staff was extremely attentive and courteous, though we were held up at the front door for a few minutes when they were unable to find our booking. The host had what was perhaps an appropriate level of snobbery as they seemed more inclined to ask us to leave rather than continue trying to find the reservation.
