Drawing on Turkish heritage and tradition, Shish’s ethos is borne out of a desire to create a hub as the heart of the home, centred around the fire hearth where cooking and families come together and share in the occasion. The spacious restaurant lends itself to large gatherings, smaller group parties and more intimate dining occasions, with the option of private hire. Its slick interior, ambient lighting and booth seating lining the parameter of the restaurant provide the perfect setting for any occasion. Shish is a one of the first Dry Bars (No alcohol) in Edinburgh, stocking all the fine wines available, Champagne, Spirits, Popular Cocktails and Beers but all containing zero alcohol substitutes such as Zero percent Rum, Whiskey and Gin.

no alcohol which is fine for us we had a coke but they should put that on there website as some people wouldn’t go to a restaurant if they couldn’t have wine with there meal food came mine was cold ordered a lahmahan my husband had a Adana which was over cooked and dry and tasteless mushrooms very poor and rice was dry and boring didn’t enjoy it one bit came here after seeing this restaurant on tick tock very disappointing would never go back

We are an Italian family, with two kids, in Edinburgh for Holiday. We ordered some food for sharing (eggplants, hallumi) and salmon as main dish. Everything was excellent, including the service.

Turned up 10 minute early to be told they can’t get people to leave and my table won’t be ready for another hour minimum. Unbelievable Ended up with a KFC on New Year’s Eve and no confirmation about refunding the deposit

After a disappointing start to the NY celebrations with all of our plans being cancelled, we booked this last minute. Well, this was the highlight of my parties trip. Beautiful setting, prompt service and incredible food! Somewhere we will be recommending our friends and family as a must visit when in Edinburgh.

Not a great experience. Booked the reservation well in advance for our Christmas dinner. We were seated at table across from the service bar. My seat was literally next to the table of a couple having dinner. It is a “dry” restaurant, no liquor is served. From what the server told us they serve no alcohol. Odd because they provided a drinks menu? The food was ok, I ordered the filet, that was cut into 4 slices, and tough. The best food was the salads, and the fries.

First time here at Shish & enjoyed it very much, the mains are huge, selection of cold meze was lovely, desserts are divine, mocktails were fab, will definitely be back 😀
