Shore Leave is our interpretation of a tropical escape through the lens of our love for Boston’s rich dining scene.
Named after a sailor’s leisure time on dry land, Shore Leave’s tropical cocktails take you away from the hustle and bustle. This space, music, and our Shore Leave team, make every moment here feel like watching the sun go down with your feet in the sand. Off the main drag, just below the street in Boston’s South End, Shore Leave brings you on an everyday vacation.
Options are available for regular dining or the OMAKASE EXPERIENCE.
We do not take reservations for "just drinks", so cancellation fees will apply. Just drinks? Walk in for bar seats! We ID at the door. Underage guests are permitted but not permitted at the bar.

Live entertainment! On Fridays Shore Leave hosts Drag Race viewings at 8p and The People's Karaoke at 10p. The surf rock band The Electric Heaters play the first Thursday of every month beginning at 8p. Entertainment varies so call for details!

Join us at the Sushi Counter at Shore Leave for a fast & fun take on a tasting menu! If you are not familiar with Omakase, it translates to "I trust you"; you are trusting the sushi chef to curate your meal of approximately 12 courses. Expect a variety of bites including nigiri, sashimi, and tempura. This experience is quick paced so that you can enjoy the nigiri the moment it is made—as soon as you finish one piece, you’re handed the next by our sushi chef, who is right in front of you at the counter. Come early or stay late to enjoy cocktails and extra bites at Shore Leave’s bar! Your Omakase experience will be $85 per person not including tax or gratuity and will be approximately 12 courses.

Never go there ! !!! The food is worse than any place I’ve been too… wagyu skewers cold . Sushi tastes sour… mix of flavors in food is off.honestly never had such a bad miss in Boston. McDonald’s or any chain resturaunt tastes better. RECOMMEND TO SHUT DOWN.

Wonderful flavors and fresh fish from all around the world showcased in this omakase! Loved that we came here for Valentines and got to see some dancing by the Temptation Island crew!

The food for the omakase experience was good but we didn’t know there was a Ru Paul’s Drag Race viewing party. It didn’t ruin our dinner but for a $170 experience I was hoping for a more romantic ambiance especially for something intimate like omakase. I’d go back for the food but check the schedule before booking this experience.

Pretty cool place. Tots and noodles were great! Sushi ok and overpriced. Drinks disappointed. Servers were very good though. I would go back but avoid the overpriced drinks & nigiri.
