If you find yourself dreaming of the Texas Hill Country, savory comforts, spice, and the sultry depth of a fine Burgundy, you’ll be pleased to know about Signature at La Cantera Resort & Spa.

The menu is straightforward and beguiling, featuring contemporary interpretations of classic dishes — fresher, brighter versions of traditional cuisine enlivened with unconventional Texas spirit. Gulf seafood conspires with Atlantic Coast oysters flown in fresh, and the Hill Country is well-represented year-round. Local and organic ingredients change the menu as the seasons peak and wane, but the constants are quality, flavor, artistry in the kitchen and a warm welcome when you walk in the door.

    Chef John Carpenter has created a Tasting Menu dining experience driven by seasonal flavors and local produce availability. Let us make all the decisions while you enjoy the evening and the company. For $135 per person you will enjoy an eight course dinner with sommelier wine pairings available for an additional charge. See the menu under the Open Table Menus tab. We ask table participation and no substitutions.

    Come ring in 2025 with us at Signature! Chef John Carpenter is presenting a Tasting Menu Experience to celebrate 2024 and welcome 2025. Dinner will be priced at $150 per person with optional caviar service available for an additional price. Wine pairings will be available at 2 different price tiers curated by Wine Director Joel Arriaga. Please note we will NOT be serving our regular menu on New Year's Eve. Additionally for our New Year's Eve celebration, we are politely requesting no children under 12 in the restaurant. Please call with questions.

    We were a table of 4. Very disappointed with our dining experience for Christmas dinner. I understand and feel for the folks working on Christmas, however, the service was truly poor. We arrived on time and were seated fairly prompt. That was the end of good service. Fact is, it was 45 minutes after being seated before bread was served and an hour and a half before salad was served. Salad was served on a hot plate with wilted lettuce. Main course was mediocre. I was hoping with a price and menu fixe that Signature would be better prepared. I cannot recommend Signature. We will not return.

    Truly the best meal we ever had. I’ve never had octopus like it and the best steak we’ve ever had. The service was spot on. We will be back.

    nice venue. the widely vaunted tasting menu wasn't available. nice friendly pace of service. another badly over-priced wine list though quite extensive.
