The worlds first Zero Waste restaurant, Silo's menu is an expression of natural farming and closed loop cooking, demonstrating quality within sustainability.
Situated in Hackney Wick overlooking the River Lea, the restaurant features an open and spacious, relaxed dining room, counter seating around the kitchen and hearth, as well as a private dining room.
Awarded with a Green Michelin Star.

    What a fabulous restaurant. I've been wanting to go for ages but it's a long way East for me. Finally, I managed to make it and was delighted. The food was intriguing and the zero waste approach was applied rigorously - they'd even thought about it in the bathrooms (but please be reassured that they do have loo paper!). The meal was a treat with some unusual and delicious flavours. I'd definitely recommend it, even though it was expensive!

    Fantastic gem with a truly unique ethos and story, which you really experience through the food. I'm glad I knew so much about it ahead since the staff could tell you a bit more. The food is a real experience both in flavour combinations, texture and creativity and presented beautifully.

    We really enjoyed food, staff and ambient as well as we learned a lot about fermentation. The chef and her team must be very proud of what they offer to their clients for both food and cultural point of views.

    Unbelievable. This was one of if not the best meal we’ve ever had. Especially as veggies we were so happy about all the flavours. We will be back!

    Third visit to Silo. As ever the tasting menu was a treat. Everyone very impressed with the creative and tasty combinations. Service also very attentive. We had both the venison and mushroom mains. Will definitely be returning to this Hackney Wick gem.
