The worlds first Zero Waste restaurant, Silo's menu is an expression of natural farming and closed loop cooking, demonstrating quality within sustainability.
Situated in Hackney Wick overlooking the River Lea, the restaurant features an open and spacious, relaxed dining room, counter seating around the kitchen and hearth, as well as a private dining room.
Awarded with a Green Michelin Star.

Wonderful service and an inviting warm atmosphere, staff seemed genuinely pleased to be there. The food was excellent - short menu was about right for lunch. Would definitely go back. I had a vegan version of the menu and it was easily accommodated whilst staying true to the menu and it’s circular no waste concept.

Best meal of the year? Quite probably. Another visit to Silo. It’s simply awesome. Tonight we ate the whole menu and some… Both the fish and the pumpkin dishes are two of my all time favourites. The best service. Friendly and informative from a team that truly cares. Not a lot else I can say other than for anyone who likes innovative, tasty food, with a zero-waste ethos, you should go. Superb…!

Was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We went “all in” vegetarian and chef very graciously adapted one dish as I don’t like mushrooms. Food was absolutely delicious and made zero food waste a great culinary adventure. Chloe our main server was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic evening sitting at the counter at Silo. The food was inventive and delicious, and it was great to watch skilled, passionate chefs at work. The floor staff were knowledgeable and charming, and very efficient. The atmosphere is just right for me; elegant but relaxed. We had a great time. Favourite dishes were the pumpkin, the grey mullet and the koji quaver.

Super interesting restaurant with such a unique philosophy of cooking, it was a very inspiring experience seeing how the chefs use all their waste and transform it into delicious dishes or creative decor for the restaurant, I was fortunate enough to get a little tour and see some of the fermentation the chefs was working on

Amazing commitment to sustainability, amazing food and service - did the all in with the wine pairing for our anniversary dinner and would do it again for a nice occasion! Great experience!
