DINE ABOVE BANFF Anchored at over 2,200 meters above sea level, the Banff Gondola’s Sky Bistro sits on the summit of Sulphur Mountain. With six Rocky Mountain ranges as a backdrop, this remarkable restaurant promises an exhilarating gondola ride followed by a mountain top dining experience. Lunch and dinner menus celebrate the panorama of Canadian cuisine, with ingredients drawn from both ocean coasts, plus wholesome prairie staples including world-renowned Alberta beef. Complemented by local wine, beer and spirits, it makes for a unique dining experience above Banff.

    The maitre-de, I believe his name was Jan, was awful. He choose to sit a couple without a reservation at a table on the window in front us who made a reservation months ago for our anniversary We were early to our reservation and he was rather un-accomadatung. He stated that Evan after sitting us at a second row table and something opened up at the window, he would not move us. People beware, this is a tourist trap and extremely overrated . Eat elsewhere . Your experience will be better than having to deal with this rude service.

    The food was sublime! Some of the best we've had in a while. Beautifully plated and delicious. Service was excellent. The views were gorgeous.

    Great food and great service. We were a party of 2 and were given window seats, we had quite probably the nicest view I’ve ever seen while eating. The staff were so friendly and service was quick and efficient. The food was delicious. If you are going up Sulphur Mountain, Sky Bistro is a must!

    The food was very good! The views incredible! However it cost $176 for the three of us just to arrive at the restaurant! The food bill was the cheap part of lunch! lol!

    We went here to eat for my 50th birthday. They gave the whole table champagne, and gave us a dessert at the end of the meal. It was fantastic

    Beautiful location; mediocre food. We had lunch there. Perhaps dinner is better - the menu looked to be more extensive.
