I’ve been before. Normally it is better. Food today was delicious. Service out of the kitchen was painfully slow. Server was friendly. But 40+ mins awaiting the entrees after appetizers.

A terrible experience from beginning to end. Arrived to find no valet parking (unlike other high end steakhouses in Boston). Was shown to our table by someone who looked like he was out on a day pass from a boarding school for wayward boys. Hapless waiter was bumbling and fumbling from the word go. Starter (pea soup) took a full hour to make it to the table & was lukewarm at best when it arrived. Main course took over an hour and 45 minutes to be served, despite assurances by the waiter and a manager who stopped by that it was "being plated right this moment." When we asked the manager what the issue was, he rather brusquely replied that "it's Christmas and we have a full house." I asked how that explained that the table by us came in & ordered AFTER us but were now finishing their main course even though we were still waiting for our food. When the food did arrive, boy was it mediocre. Beyond bad actually. Everything was either lukewarm or cold. Sea bass was a total embarrassment; truly one of the worst things I've ever eaten. Sides were all cold. Manager offered free dessert; I said not to bother. We left as soon as we could pay the bill. I am used to S&W in New York City, where it's always impeccable. This place does not come near to doing the brand justice. We will never, ever go here again & urge you to rethink that decision as well. The kitchen & wait staff seem completely overwhelmed; and it has nothing to do with being busy on a holiday. We ate Thanksgiving dinner this year at another high end steakhouse in Boston & it was a delight from beginning to end. They were on the ball. This crew, not so much. Might I suggest retraining the manager and perhaps rethinking the employment of a good number of the staff, who appeared disheveled, miserable & poorly trained. Note: just because you are busy and "working hard" does not mean you are doing a good job. What a disappointment, and a ruined holiday with family.

Total waste of money. Wayguy carpaccio was actually bad tasting. Service brusk & unfriendly. Would not recommend or return

Terrible service. Made us feel so forgotten. Waitress barely came to table. Had to flag another server to get the bill. Sad experience for Christmas Eve.

Second time there. First was during restaurant week ; and the food was very good. Not so much this time. Friend and I had the weekend prime rib special. Both served barely warm….ok in quality, but not at the level they should have been at this high end restaurant. Side potato and asparagus were good. But popover served with prime rib was cold and placed on the plate with the rib soaking in au jus. Service was excellent. But not sure we’ll will return with all of the other great steakhouses in the Boston area.

Excellent waiter and the food was fantastic. The acoustics left a little to be desired, probably because of the young ladies at the table adjacent were feeling their libations, but overall a pleasurable experience.
