This is not the S&W of old. Filled with people dressed like slobs. Receptionists who treat people like numbers - directing them to go wait in the bar when you arrive on time. (S&W would never have been so rude and dismissive of an elderly gentlemen.) The food arrived cold (all but one dish, which they were obviously waiting to be completed). The Dover sole looked like it had been cooked for lunch, not dinner. My filet was dry from sitting with a skin on the sauce that looked like gelatin. A terrible meal. All in all, a reminder that you can’t go back.

Smith and Wollensky is one of my go-to and special occasion places. Dinner tonight was no exception to my expectation. Our server, Frank, was gracious, considerate and accommodating. Perhaps we stayed a little longer than normal but there’s no pressure to move. Simply a wonderful evening for myself and my friend. Never disappointed with Smith & Wollensky!!

Good, not great, experience. Prime rib was lukewarm and lacked seasoning and porterhouse was dry. The meat seemed sub-prime overall. The loaded potato was the highlight.
