    Have been to S&W many times in London and did prefer it to this one. Was manic and noisy (didn’t bother us particularly). Service was average - the guys were very friendly but not on the ball at all. Wine took ages to come once we eventually managed to order it (first choice wasn’t available). I ordered filet mignon with pepper sauce - it was literally smothered in peppercorns which totally took away any flavour of the steak :/ scraped them off and used steak sauce to try mask the flavour. Mash and creamed spinach were nice. All steaks cooked perfectly which was good as often they aren’t. Didn’t get asked if we wanted more drinks until we had finished the meal. Wouldn’t return as think there are better steakhouses in NYC

    Family party of 10 on New Years Eve afternoon. Expensive but worth the splurge. Excellent service and food.

    The service, as always, was impeccable! The lump crab meat and shrimp cocktails were outstanding, as were the mac and cheese and hash browns. And we had the most delicious cheesecake!

    When we made our reservation”outdoor seating” was the only option available, which we understood, but when we arrived we were put in the corner of their outdoor area. It was loud, hot from the heaters cooking us in the plastic tent we were in and very stuffy to the point I had to leave before the entrees were delivered to avoid passing out. Our waiter seemed to have forgotten us in the corner several times and also seems annoyed that my wife ordered two appetizers rather than a full entree. The food was good, despite having to have them box it up to eat back at our hotel room. I’m sure it would have been better actually being able to enjoy it there
