Originally established in 1974, Smuggler's Inn has been serving Alberta prime rib to several generations. Always a popular place for Calgarians to gather and celebrate, we are the preferred dining choice for birthdays, anniversaries, milestones or just meeting friends and family. Our prime rib is the main feature of our diverse menu, available all day, every day any way you like it. From a 9oz. prime rib, all the way up to a 18oz cut, our succulent prime rib is sure to please any appetite. Of course there is a creative selection of steaks, chicken and seafood to satisfy everyone. It would be a great idea if you saved room for one of our delicious desserts...even if you plan on sharing.

    Smugglers is excited to share that our weekend brunch service will transition to a full buffet featuring all you can eat prime rib, beginning the weekend of January 25 and 26, 2025. Treat yourself to beloved breakfast classics like scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, bacon, pork sausage, turkey sausage, eggs benedict, and made to order omelettes. Savour additional favourites such as charcuterie, soup & salad bar, smugglers original steak soup and of course - our renowned AAA prime rib! And don't forget our indulgent dessert selection, boasting over 20 items, all freshly baked from scratch by our award winning pastry team.

        Melanie was lovely, cleared on time! Food was great, I’m sure tough to keep bennies warm but they were ok. We’ll be back!

        Dinner was below average. It took a hour to get our food. We ordered the Plank came with pork chop, chicken, sausage, couple thinly slices of prime rib and two small beef ribs. The chicken, pork chop and sausage were dry and tasted like something I bbq myself. Not worth the money. Service was excellent but the food was mediocre.

        Your eggs etc were all cold.all hot food was cold. Reservation for 5, we were stuffed I to a table for 4. Waited until a 5 person table was cleaned, then you gave table to someone else Would have been proper for you to send servers to bring coffee and soft drinks and juice ( seniors cannot carry their own coffee thru a maze of people) No fish You will have to do better if you want to succeed. Your dessert bar was very good. The staff I dealt with wonderful in spite of how your management succeded...not Stupidly expensive for service and food we got We will never be back Sorry for you. It would have been nice , especially as we were a fa mily celebrating my granddaughters 16 th birthday What a shame! Norma mcColl.

        Food was cold, restaurant was very packed. Service wasn’t great but it’s also buffet style.

        The food selection was pretty good for the price. You get coffee and juice, a vast selection of breakfast items, a charcuterie and salad area, juicy prime rib, and a ton of dessert items. While the prime rib did have some tough, connective tissue...it was still pretty good, considering how much we paid for the brunch. Staff were polite and attentive. Well worth it for a nice, hearty brunch.

        Staff were lovely, but slow to take order and slow to bring drinks.(Watch your bill... drink listed as $15, charged $18). The food was delicious, and the meat was tender and melt in the mouth. It's stupid expensive, though. We ordered the shrimp cocktail... presented as a large bowl of ice, with a smattering of lettuce and THREE prawns, for $25. The chef forgot to put yorkshire pudding on my plate, even though it was listed. Apparently, he forgot lol. Bill for shrimp cocktail, one alcoholic drink, one coke, and 2 steak dinners was $180. Crazy money for what we had. Highlight of the evening was the throne chairs on wheels lol

        Disappointed! Hubbie and I went to Smuggler’s to relive the nostalgia of our younger days (15 years ago ) , but we were unpleased to find that the salad bar is not what it use to be ! Soup was cold because of kettle not working properly and the prime rib was chewy ! My sirloin was very good ! Server was very pleasant and tried very hard to please us ! Overall not what we had imagined !
