    The food was excellent and creative. The acoustics in the restaurant were poor and the noise from patrons at the bar made it almost impossible to hear my companions.

    The Chefs Counter was such an interesting experience! We loved watching the calm and well coordinated kitchen in action!! The five course menu was so delicious each dish very carefully made. There was no skimping on the quality or quantity of the food. For anyone who really likes a true culinary experience it is a unique table to watch the full kitchen work. We really loved it.

    We chose to do the chef’s table, and we ended up having to move when they put a lobster in the pot directly in front of us since my daughter has a severe shellfish allergy! They were very quick to move us to another table. Every bite of food was Spectacular! Would definitely go back again! Service was amazing. We had multiple servers and each one was equally wonderful as the other.

    This was our 3rd time to Solare since August 2024. By far one of the best restaurants in San Diego. The variety of options that coincide with the seasons are fabulous! The staff and service are always professional and on point. Highly recommend Solare!

    What a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner! The risotto and truffles, polenta with mushrooms, sea bass, and semifreddo were all absolutely delicious as well as beautifully served. The wine choices were great, and the server helped with making good choices to pair with dinner. Always a great experience, thanks Solare!
