Since Rafael Palomino—Sonora’s Executive Chef and Proprietor—opened the doors to this, his flagship Latin-fusion restaurant, he has received accolades from a broad customer base, including an “Excellent” from the New York Times. This creative, Colombian-born (Queens-raised) chef and author of five cookbooks, has since opened 8 more restaurants that span three states (New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania). Sonora, like Palomino’s other restaurants, boasts excellent service and mouth-watering dishes, paired with an extensive wine list and cocktail offerings. In addition to impeccable service and delicious dishes, Sonora’s two-story home offers guests the possibility of having a custom-designed and catered on-site private party, for any occasion, from 12 to 110 people.

It was NYE and the restaurant was extremely busy yet our order was taken promptly, the food was delicious and came out quickly and the service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend!

Loved the tapas. Fish tacos excellent. Coconut Shrimp very good. Lovely experience. Only complaint and its not small is that they made us order all our food at once and then brought it all at once which was unappealing and created fast turnover for them so the dining experience was less than it should have been. Would have been much nicer to have 2 to 3 tapas. relax, order a couple more. We were in and out in about an hour on NYE too. My advice is just order 2 or 3 and say that's it. then order more. Restaurant should change policy. they have so much going for them.

It’s been years since we’ve been back to Sonora and we will be coming back again and again. Best restaurant in Westchester IMHO. Too many reasons to mention, the food is amazing, the wait staff equally amazing. A chic restaurant with an unusual menu. Prices were high, but not outrageous.
