Since Rafael Palomino—Sonora’s Executive Chef and Proprietor—opened the doors to this, his flagship Latin-fusion restaurant, he has received accolades from a broad customer base, including an “Excellent” from the New York Times. This creative, Colombian-born (Queens-raised) chef and author of five cookbooks, has since opened 8 more restaurants that span three states (New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania). Sonora, like Palomino’s other restaurants, boasts excellent service and mouth-watering dishes, paired with an extensive wine list and cocktail offerings. In addition to impeccable service and delicious dishes, Sonora’s two-story home offers guests the possibility of having a custom-designed and catered on-site private party, for any occasion, from 12 to 110 people.

One of our favorite restaurants in Westchester. Valentine's Day there was delightful and the food never disappoints (even as the kitchen was clearly slammed) Highly, highly recommend Sonora.

We had a great time. It was a pre fixe valentine’s menu so the options were limited but dinner was very good and the service was great!

We have been to Sonora 4 times and we have never had a bad dish, let alone a bad meal. Food is always outstanding. We have lived in the area for 48 years and Sonora is one of the few reataurants in the county (O Mandarin and Dubrovnik) where we return regularly and are never disapointed. The only issue is that the parking lot is too small because the restaurant is too popular.

3 star rating as our lovely dinner was ruined by the condescending manager. My family,myself, and our friends have been going to Sonora for years, even through Covid. The food and service have always been excellent and we have recommended Sonora to many who have since been regular patrons of the restaurant. I booked the paella special for last night through Open Table which presented paella, sangria, and jazz for the price of $36.95 per person "including taxes and fees". Very good food and service as usual. Out came the bill with tax added to the specials. We brought this error up to our waiter who informed the manager who came over to our table to discuss further. When I showed him the Open Table reservation stating taxes were included he said that was wrong, he didn't know anything about it, and further stated "so you're not going to pay your bill?' So embarrassing to say something so ludicrous and condescending in front of the other patrons. No apologies, just a smirk. I am sad to say that I will no longer be eating at Sonora starting with cancellation of our previously confirmed Valentines dinner for next week and I will tell others of our very disappointing experience with Sonora's manager.

Great food, servers pleasant and helpful, nice ambience. Always reliable for a special occasion. We shared the eggplant meatballs, empanadas and Brussels sprouts followed by short ribs and Argentinian steak. Churros and flan for dessert and the sangria was excellent. Enjoy!

Sonora is a hidden gem! I'm surprised more people I've spoken to don't know about it. The restaurant is beautiful, every dish I've tried tastes fresh and flavorful, and the staff are attentive and kind. I went once for brunch during restaurant week and loved the live music!

Every detail was perfect. We started with the Brussels Sprouts appetizer which was artistically presented and absolutely delicious. We also had the eggplant “meatballs” - funny thing is that even though I do not usually like eggplant, THIS eggplant is DEEE-LISH!!! We then had the pan seared halibut over crabmeat stuffed enchiladas in a lovely, delicate sauce. What I love about Sonora is that the combination of flavors is always so interesting and not something that you can duplicate at home. You really feel like you dined out and had something special. As always the staff is friendly and attentive and hands down they have the best Sangria around! We finished with Dulce de Leche Cheesecake and Flan. So tasty! I LOVED EVERY SINGLE THING! I would give it ten stars if I could!
