Son'z Steakhouse at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa boasts breathtaking views of cascading waterfalls, a lushly lit lagoon, and Maui sunsets.

Our diverse menu features freshly caught local fish only 100% USDA-certified Prime beef, known for its superior flavor and tenderness. Our bone-in ribeye, New York strip, and tomahawk steaks are dry-aged in-house, and all our steaks are marinated in olive oil and fresh herbs, hand-rubbed in Hawaiian salt and fresh cracked pepper, broiled to perfection, and finished with herb-infused Maître d'Hôtel butter.

                                                                          NYE dinner was great! 4 courses menu with great variety. Our waitress Lisa made the last night of the year even more special with her great attention and kindness. We ordered the lamb for main entry and it didn’t disappoint!

Watching the ducks floating around, the beautiful landscaping and the waterfall makes this a wonderful experience. The food is wonderful. I especially love the lobster ravioli. It is served so nicely with a lobster tail on top. The service is very good and professional. It is a must every time we come to Maui

                                                                          I recently dined at Son’z restaurant and while there were some enjoyable moments, there were also some areas that could be improved. When we ordered the red wine, it was served in a chilled glass, which was unexpected. Usually, red wine is served in a temperature controlled glass to enhance its flavor, so this presentation was a little disappointing. When we raised this issue with our server, he was initially a little frustrated. However, he later acknowledged our point and became more welcoming. During our meal, he made a point to check in on us, asking how the food was and if we needed anything else, which made us feel more valued as guests. Despite the initial hiccups, we still enjoyed our meal and the overall ambience. In the end, we decided to leave a tip of over 40% to show our appreciation, which made him very happy. It was a great way to end our dining experience. Overall, I appreciated the experience but hope they will consider tweaking their wine service in the future.

                                                                          I was surprised, I was expecting a mediocre dinner. We ordered the filet which was cooked perfect and was delicious, cream spinach was excellent. We started with shrimp cocktail and Maui salad. The salad was great it was like a Greek salad. My kid ordered the kids short rib which was a big portion and he ate it all. Service was great and it was beautiful before the sun went down.

                                                                          We had a nice family Christmas dinner in an overbooked, understaffed Son'z. Our server did his very best but simply had too many patrons to handle. The lamb was terrific, one steak was undercooked and two salads had bugs in them. And so many more tables than a year ago! We like to see them busy but it needs to match the staff level. We'll be back in about 10 days to compare.
