Named for Queen Sophia Charlotte, Sophia’s offers a royally outfitted setting in the heart of Uptown on 5th Street in The Ivey’s Hotel.

    What a pleasant surprise! Stayed at Ivey's Hotel and had dinner before the show and breakfast on the way out the next day at Sophia's. The food was excellent along with the service. A delightful change from the cookie cutter hotels and restaurants. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Charlotte.

    Nice place, nice ambiance. Food took a while to arrive and was overcooked, but was otherwise good. Service was good.

    Great ambience, attentive staff, delicious food (sliders highly recommended). Good selection of libations. Great for pre-theater or light dinner.

    Ashley was amazing! This was our first night in Charlotte and I read some reviews on this place. We had dinner elsewhere and were just looking for a low key nice cocktail spot. I was not disappointed. The service was excellent. The drinks were fantastic. I highly recommend this place for drinks.

    We came here our first night in Charlotte and it was amazing. The interior is gorgeous and the ambiance and service was even better. Ashley was our waitress and she was absolutely wonderful! Totally recommend coming here.

    The cocktails were yummy and the atmosphere was excellent. The food did not meet expectations which was disappointing. The service was attentive without being overwhelming. I would definitely go back but probably only for drinks.

    Lovely little bar with great drinks. The ambiance is wonderful and our server (the only one working that night) was exceptional. Highly recommend for people watching and relaxing in nice chairs.

    The food is phenomenal, though the menu is not very extensive. It's a bar. They happen to have a GREAT menu at which they excel. I ordered their version of surf and turf - scallops and pork belly. It was an odd mix that works really well together. I also had the skillet cookie which is a molten hot sugar bomb (and delicious, as well). Drinks - just ask for what you want. Their bartenders are good at what they do. I also ordered room service for breakfast from Sophia's. Their eggs Benedict was among the best I've ever had. The only thing I'd change is to get their management and team members to meet somewhere else besides the left end of the bar if people are sitting there. Discussions about sports betting seemed a little off-brand to me. Anyway, the food is great and the people are awesome. I'll be back!
