Sotto Sopra is an Italian restaurant housed in a beautiful 19th century building just blocks north of Baltimore’s Harborplace on Charles Street. Sotto Sopra specializes in true contemporary Italian cuisine adapting farm to table. We buy local whenever it is possible. The perfect risotto, handmade pastas, roasted meats, local seafood, and regional produce are here for your total enjoyment.

    Great experience. Took my parents here from out of town - it was perfect for my hard-of-hearing father and the food was excellent. I will gladly add Sotto Sopra to my regular restaurant rotation!

    I always enjoy the experience of a meal at Sotto Sopra. It feels special without being pretentious. The balance of menu choices is great - includes favorites I often come back to and specials that provide a little variety. Last night the halibut ceviche special was excellent and easily shareable. The house made tagliatelle with bolognese sauce was as delicious and comforting as ever. Service was attentive but not rushed.

    We come to Sotto Sopra every year when we’re in Baltimore…that’s over 25 years of visits. The menu is great, the food consistently excellent, and the service friendly and efficient. And the dining room is beautiful….an old historic building with creative decor. We think it’s among the more st beautiful rooms in the city.

    Sotto Sopra has brought out their fall menu with new specials. The serve the best fruit de mere on squid ink pasta in Baltimore. The team’s service was great and Derek always make us feel like we are his favorite guests!

    Our experience at Sotta Sopra was fantastic! The food was delicious, the restaurant is gorgeous, the service spectacular and we loved seeing the wonderful chef/owner Riccardo and his family making the dining experience magical for all!
