Sotto Sopra is an Italian restaurant housed in a beautiful 19th century building just blocks north of Baltimore’s Harborplace on Charles Street. Sotto Sopra specializes in true contemporary Italian cuisine adapting farm to table. We buy local whenever it is possible. The perfect risotto, handmade pastas, roasted meats, local seafood, and regional produce are here for your total enjoyment.

    This was our first time visiting this restaurant. We were thoroughly impressed with the food, service, and the special music provided by Peabody students. The wine selection was outstanding and we purchased a special bottle of Italian wine to complement our meal. We look forward to returning again.

    Derrick, our server, is the consummate server, sommelier and knowledgeable person about everything that touches the business. I brought some friends with me who had not been to Sotto Sopra since 2006. They vowed to return because of him, (and the food and the singers). A good time was had by all!

    Even better than i remember! Haven’t been to Sotto Sopra since pre-COVID-this is a must-do restaurant in downtown Bmore! Fantastic Italian food and wine list, great cocktails, and the setting is lovely. Service wonderful. For pre-show or an evening destination-we lingered over dinner dessert coffee and apres-dining drinks-were not rushed and enjoyed every minute.

    We had a very sweet server who made us feel at home. We ordered drinks, appetizers and dessert and liked everything. Salads were the beetroot and goat cheese for two of us, and the Calamari for our son. My husband loved the pasta carbonara and our son loved the Lasagna. Said it's the best he's ever had. I had the ravioli which was super. Dessert was delicious, lava cake and cheesecake. Both were beautifully plated and presented. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back again soon!

    Dined here over ten times since 2020. This was the first time I didn’t enjoy my dinner. Service was off, we were not greeted, food came out at all bad times and the waiter acted like he really did not want to serve our table. I was kind of surprised and asked if the restaurant was under new management because every visit before this one was perfect.
