Welcome to SoCo Southern Comforts Southern Dining & Seafood Shack! We are a family-run, independent restaurant offering the best quality home cooked Southern dining & local seafood in comfortable and fun surroundings. Our menu is diverse with items to satisfy everyone's cravings from light fair to down home hardy meals like Granny used to make. We have vegetarian options as well as fantastic homemade desserts. Of course families and kids are always welcome with our large Kids menu available anytime. All of our food is made from scratch and we don't use a freezer except for our ice cream. We offer a great place to meet, eat and get together for lunch or dinner, so please book a table with one of our friendly team members or just pop in to say hello.

We also offer a coffee and cake shop opening daily at 10AM, serving coffee and homemade cakes, pies and pastries. Book your special events with us in our private spacious event center with its own private entrance.

    9 of us had great meals. Everything from red snapper, crab cakes, steak, chili, and key lime pie tasted original and delicious. The owner and waitstaff were warm and welcoming. Everyone in our party gave it a thumbs up and we will definitely be back on our annual golf trip next year.

    Can’t say enough about this family run local spot. Awesome food, really friendly people. Excellent value. Get one of the homemade cakes.....oh goodness.

    On Valentine’s Day we dined here for the first time. Owner Greg Metcalfe is “hands-on”. Everything is fresh. As a result, by 7 pm, there were no peel-and-eat shrimp left! We ordered a New Zealand Pinot Grigio wine. Likewise, the two Pinot Grigio sections were sold out. The house Pinot grig was just fine. The fried green tomatoes and French onion soup were fabulous starters. Our main course, also well-prepared, was the featured steak Diane. We recommend Southern Comfort for casual dining.

    First time here and for Valentine's Day. Pretty hectic but great experience. Food was outstanding and the only thing that kept the service from being outstanding was that the main courses came long before we were able to finish our appetizers. We'll chalk that up to the busy time and give it another chance later.

    We really enjoyed our meal at southern comforts. The food is very fresh and clearly made from scratch. The servings were huge and extremely well-prepared. I got a plate of just the side dishes, and each of them were fantastic. We had a lovely time talking with the staff and the owner as well. We would absolutely eat there again.
